Dr. Pereda, a native of Havana, Cuba, was granted the opportunity to move to the United States at the age of 7 in pursuit of a better life. He grew up in South Florida, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. He went on to attend dental school and complete his postgraduate endodontic training at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey. Before settling in Tallahassee, Dr. Pereda practiced as an endodontist in private practices across New Jersey and South Florida. He is proud to be a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a distinction that reflects his commitment to clinical excellence and advanced proficiency in the field.
Dr. Pereda utilizes his expertise in microscopic endodontics, microsurgery, and three-dimensional digital radiography (CBCT) to deliver modern, precise root canal therapy. He is a published author, having contributed to multiple research topics, including a morphology study titled “Middle Mesial Canals of First Mandibular Molars”—a study using CBCT technology and advanced microscopy, published in the Journal of Endodontics.
Dr. Pereda is known for his compassionate and gentle approach, helping patients feel comfortable and at ease throughout their treatment. He is fluent in Spanish and values creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. He has participated in multiple dental mission trips, providing care to underserved communities in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and the Navajo Nation through Indian Health Services.
Outside the office, Dr. Pereda enjoys spending time with his wife, Ana, and their three daughters. He’s passionate about traveling and also enjoys basketball, softball, golf, hiking, and skiing. Dr. Pereda is honored to be part of the Tallahassee community, which has warmly welcomed his family, and is proud to have joined the respected practice of Dr. Hubard, who has provided outstanding endodontic care in Tallahassee for nearly 40 years.
